Bees are gone

Was out there late this afternoon and the bees have moved on. Wonder where they found their permanent home?

Bee Swarm

Here's a photo of the bee swarm that has settled temporarily on a honey locust tree just right of the cart path leading to #6 green - at the junction of the new cart path with the old cart path coming down from the dam end. And here's more on the why's and hows of bee swarming. Looks like we may just have to wait a bit and they will wander off to their permanent home. In the meantime, be wary and keep your distance from the 'bees on the go'.

Saturday Golf Game

Saturday's golf game starts at 9am.

The Greens

Eric is mowing the greens right now having picked up the repaired greensmower yesterday afternoon. The fuel injectors had to be replaced. Expect faster greens this afternoon and tomorrow.

Rex and Shirley Hudson

Here Rex is callin his wife and telling her he needed her to help him out again. Locked up his car, went off and played golf, then, when he wanted to go home, saw those dang keys still in the ignition.

Shirley, who has a smile for just about everybody, came on down and joined Rex and I at Stoll's Restaurant where Rex had filled his belly with a little bit of just about everything. All's well that ends well.

Richard found himself behind an immovable object in #2 fairway. He used an old club which did hit the utility pole but, most importantly, the ball cleared the pole and was well advanced. No real damage to the club.

Bob Elliott is back in town after a winter down in Florida. Here he is putting on #2 while Wilma examines the grip end of her putter.

Seniors and their carts all over the place with the fog across the way. Pretty soupy at the golf course when we kicked off at 8am, but it lifted eventually.
