Bits and Pieces

-Scramble at 9 this morning (when it will still be relatively cool).

-Go, Jason Dufner!  Pretty good run for a guy in his mid thirties.  Mid thirties!  OMG, how can that be?  This is supposed to be the time for the youngsters, the 20 somethings.  Go figure.

-Old news now but my own opinion on the Morgan Pressel slow play call - ridiculous.  However, it did bring to light that the young lady was completely unprepared to handle a little bump in the road on her way to a title.  Hope she's spending some time addressing her reaction to a slap in the face, a little (or big) black ball, coming her way.  Congrats to the winner of the Sybase Match Play Tournament, Azahara Munroz, who got it exactly right when she admitted to being a slow player but not when she's on the clock.

-Rob Sterling's eagle last Tuesday wasn't the only one; Short Jeffers also got one.  Think that makes three for the year in league play.  Still surprised me.

-T-Butch and Short Jeffers' Glo Balls Open tonight starting at 7:30.  Nine holes during daylight, then grilled hot dogs, then nine holes in the dark.  Prizes for each nine holes.  Need I mention safety first tonight, guys?  Nobody wants to get hit by a glow ball or run into a tree, or roll over in a cart, or whatever.  Be aware and do your part in caring for yourself and your buddies.  That said, should be a unique test of ones golfing skills.

-Time to get ready for the more immediate task - the 9 o'clock scramble.  See some of you in a short bit.
