Jordan Divine completed his first season in a Lakeview league by topping both the individual and team standings. His final day round of net 36 earned him 40 points and a season leading total of 1420 in the individual competition. He topped second place Danny Jones who finished at 1360 points. Divine and playing partner Mitch Jeffers combined for a net 68 on the day, earned 42 points and won the team championship with a total of 737 points. They beat out three other teams who had designs on the top spot when the day started. John Walker and Skip Ackerman posted a net 69 and finished in second place at 703 points while the team of Dan Jones and Lonnie Hawkins fired a net 64 to finish at 701 points. Tom Walker and Mike Bird also posted a net 68 and finished the season in fourth place with a total of 700 points.
The two wins by Jordan came up one short as he started the day on top of the B Flight in the flighted tournament. His 39 gross opened the door for Junior Byron who fired a 37 for the day, slipped ahead of Divine and won the B Flight with a 36 hole total of 147. In the other flights: James Hager shot a final round 34 to finish with a super seven under par 133 for the 36 holes in the A Flight. His nearest competitor was Dave Wininger who finished at 141. Karry Stoll won C Flight by firing a 41, two strokes better than last week's co-leader, Jake Divine. Stoll finished at 159, two up on both Divine and Skip Ackerman. In D Flight, Paul Hart completed his romp with a final round of 40 and a total of 154. That gave him a thirteen stroke advantage over second place finisher Curt Johnson. Kevin Byron shot a 45 to finish at 180 for the tournament and a win in the F Flight. He beat out Virgil Harper who finished with a total of 184. Tom Trambaugh also had an easy time in the F Flight. His final day 50 gave him a 186 total and a fourteen stroke win over Tom Flynn.
Final day low scores were posted by Derek Gilbertson, Tom McAtee and Kent Summers, each with net 30's. Derek Gilbertson also tied for the low gross honors; he along with James Hager and Josh Hawkins fired 34's. Hole prizes were claimed by Mike Bird (who aced #3 for the only hole-in-one in the league this year) and by Wayne Souerdike and Tim Voegerl with close to the pin shots. Tom Flynn, Karry Stoll and Kent Summers had long putts. The average gross score of 41.71 was lower than last week's 42.35 but well above the season low of 40.26 posted two weeks ago.
