LADIES LEAGUE 2017 RULES AND SCHEDULE

Ladies League 2017

A two person, team handicap league, playing 9 holes each week, all season. Play anytime during the week, Sunday through Saturday.

1.       Season starts the week of April 30th and runs through the week of Sept 3rd.

2.       Individual Handicap Tournament:  Week of May 28^th, June 4^th, 11^th, and 18^th.

3.       Mid-Season Mixed League Independence Week Challenge:  2 person scramble, the week of July 2^nd.  9 holes with partner, other league member, or substitute.  Join one team only.  (No regular season play this week)

4.       Team Match Play Tournament:  The weeks of June 25^th, July 9^th, 16^th, and 23^rd. Must play with designated opponents.  It is the teams responsibility to find a mutually agreed upon time).

5.      Individual Flighted Tournament:  The weeks of July 30^th, Aug 6^th, 13^th, and 20^th.

6.      Post Season Mixed League September Challenge:  2-person, 27 hole, handicapped game over a three week period starting the week of September 10^th.  Play with partner or other league member or substitute.  (Subs must have played a minimum of 5 events)

Must play with same partner for each of the three nine hole events.  Participants may play anytime during each week.  May join multiple teams with fee for each entry.

 

Awards and Prizes

·         Most Points:  Team and Individual

·         Individual Low Average Score, 1 Low Net and 1 Low Gross: (Must play in 60% of outings to qualify)

·         Tournament Champions

·         Hole in One

Scoring

·         Individuals and Teams play against the field and receive 2 points for each golfer/team beat, and one point for each golfer/team tied. (Net score)

·         The sum of each players net score equals team net score.

·         Twice par is maximum score.  To speed play, individuals should pick up after reaching twice par.

Substitutes and No-Shows

·         Substitutes are allowed during regular season play.  Team points earned go to the team, individual points earned go to the substitute.  (If both team members are not present for a team tournament, it will be an automatic forfeit for the tournament, but sub scores will still count for regular season play)

·         When only one team member shows up for play, a ghost substitute will be used.  Ghost substitutes have a handicap of zero and score bogeys on every hole.  (Suggest you find a sub.  Sub list will be posted on bulletin board) You are responsible for finding your own sub.

Entry Fee

$30.00 per individual payable 1^st day of play.  Fee includes league tournaments, season end awards and Mid-Season Scramble.  Fee does not include September Challenge, whose entry fee is $10.00 per player, $20.00 per team)

 

Establishing Handicaps

Handicaps will be established after the first 3 weeks of play.  You will still be awarded points for each of these 3 weeks, but they will not be posted up until after the first 3 weeks have been played.
