The Big Boy Awards
Tiger Woods is going to get a lot of awards this year and that is just right and proper since he played like the best player in the world just about every time he put a ball on a tee. Now in reading this article, I see that some are arguing that he should not be considered for Comeback Player of the Year since he won four out of six starts back in 2008 even though he only played have the year. Steve Striker, twice a Comeback Player of the Year himself, is quoted as saying "Where did he go?" This, it seems to me, is very backwards since a year ago some were arguing that Tiger, who had stats that easily qualified him for the Player of the Year Award, should be declared ineligible because he only played half the year. Hmm. Could we ask for a little consistency in our reasoning, guys? Btw, do you remember who actually won the POY in 2008? Answer here. And another btw: Don't expect TW gives a hoot about all this.
