The Wease Man is back!

Tony Wease came out today and played a little golf. First time in a long time for Tony who suffered muscle damage to his right shoulder early in the 2008 League season and has not played a single hole since. Good to see you back out walking around, Tony.

Junior Byron and Joe Allen Win Scramble in OT

Photos: Larry Hembree's putt did not go in the hole. Junior Byron's did. Victors ready with the smiles and the handshakes.

The Saturday Morning Scramble went into overtime when Junior Byron and Joe Allen parred the ninth hole while Wayne Souerdike and Larry Hembree could manage only a bogey. The two teams were tied at even par going into the first extra hole where both Joe Allen and Larry Hembree sank birdie putts of over ten feet. Hole number three became the second playoff hole and each of the four played their own ball and missed the green from the tee. Byron's chip came the closest to the cup at some five feet and he waited patiently as each of the other three missed their par putts. He then very calmly ran the deciding putt into the hole and the victory. A third team, Mike Bird and Karry Stoll, started off with a bogey, added two more at the third hole and shot blanks the rest of the way to finish at three over and not in the playoff picture.
