The Senior game this Thursday was a Scramble/Best Ball/Alternate Shot affair that was won by the Black Team which included Junior Byron, Jack Butcher, Denny Wagoner, Ray Shaw and Diane Bird. They triumphed over the Red Team of Mike Bird, Rex Hudson, Kenny Hudson, Clyde Wake and Pam Byron. In this game, the golfers played their own ball on the par threes, a scramble on the par fours, and alternating shot on the par fives. Mike Bird and Rex Hudson went out against Junior Byron and Jack Butcher and played to a tie, 48 to 48. The remaining three players of the Red team, Kenny Hudson, Clyde Wake and Pam Byron, failed to match the sterling play of Denny Wagoner, Ray Shaw and Diane Bird who triumphed, 49 to 55. That made the total team score one that favored the Black Team, 97 to 103.
