The Colts are eliminated this afternoon with a loss to the Jaguars and wins by Baltimore and the New York Jets. "The Curse'' will have claimed its latest victim. For the eighth time in the past 10 seasons, the team that lost the Super Bowl will have failed to return to the playoffs the following season.Of course, we have the other Curse, the one placed on the Colt organization because of management's decision to forgo the perfect season for health reasons just about a year ago - remember the boos when Payton was taken out of that Jet game early in the second half? Oh boy, that still hurts to even think of it. Well, we don't have to go there. As Al Davis used to say: "Just win, baby, win." That just about takes care of everything.
So, go Colts, beat Jags.
