A 3-WEEK, 2-PERSON HANDICAPPED GAME
Lakeview
League players and substitutes may play in the September Challenge, a three
event interleague game over three weeks.
The game:
Week of
September 16: 2 person handicapped* scramble
Week of
September 23: 2 person handicapped** alternate shot
Week of September 30: 2 person best ball (players use their ending handicap)***
Play any
time during the week; Tuesday and Thursday League players are encouraged to
play at their usual time.
Entry fee: $10 per player. Players who participate in more than one
league may enter a team for each league with additional entry fee.
Partners:
Choose as your teammate your regular season partner or any other league
player or substitute from any of the three leagues. You must play with same partner for each
event (no subs). Eligible players must
have played or substituted in 2013.
Prize amounts and places:
Will be determined by the number of participants.
*Scramble and alternate shot handicap
is the sum both players’ handicaps divided by three with a maximum of nine. For
example, Player A has a 7 handicap and player B has a 10 handicap: 10 + 7 = 17,
then 17 divided by 3 = 5.67. Team
handicap is 5.67.
**Alternate Shot: Each player hits a ball off each tee box and
then alternates until ball is holed out.
Handicap for team is calculated same as for the scramble.
***Best Ball: Each player plays their own ball and the best
net score is the team score. Pair up with another team in the Challenge for
your third round.
