TUESDAY LEAGUE 2016 RULES


A two person team handicap league playing 9 holes each Tuesday; Play any time during the scheduled date.

 

1.       Pre-Season Mixed League April Challenge: 2 person, 18 hole scramble over a two week period starting the week of March 27th: Play with partner or other league member or substitute; must play with same partner for each of the two nine hole rounds. Participants may play anytime during each week. Join one team only.

2.       Regular Season starts: April 12th  and runs through Sept 6th.

3.       Team Handicapped Tournament: April 26th, May 3rd, 10th, and 17th

  1. Individual Handicapped Tournament: May 31st, June 7th, 14th and 21st 

5.       Mid-Season Mixed League Independence Week Challenge: 2 person scramble: Week of July 3rd - 9 holes with partner, other league member or substitute. Join one team only.  (No regular season league play this week)

6.       Team Match Play Tournament: The 4 weeks of June 28th, July 12th, 19th, and 26th. (Must Play With Designated Opponent.  It is the Team’s responsibility to find a mutually agreed upon time)

7.       Individual Flight Tournament: August 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd.  

8.       Post-Season Mixed League  September Challenge: 2 person 27 hole handicapped game over a three week period starting the week of September 11th:  Play with partner or other league member or substitute. (Subs must have played in a minimum of 5 events)  Must play with same partner for each of the three nine hole events.  Participants may play anytime during each week. May join multiple teams; fee for each entry.

Awards & Prizes

   Season Most Points: Team and Individual

   Individual Low Average Score, 1)Net and 2)Gross: (must play in 60% of outings to qualify)

   Weekly Hole Prize competitions.

Scoring

   Individuals and teams play against the field and receive 2 points for each golfer/team beat, and one point for each golfer/team tied (net score).

   The sum of each player's net score equals team net score.

   Twice par is maximum score. To speed play, individuals should pick up after reaching twice par.

Substitutes and No-Shows

   Substitutes are allowed during regular season play. Team points earned go to the team; individual points earned go to the substitute.  (If both team members are not present for a team tournament, it will be an automatic forfeit for the tournament, but scores will still count for regular season play.)

   When only one team member shows for play, a ‘ghost’ substitute will be used. ‘Ghost’ substitutes have a handicap of zero and score bogeys on the first 5 handicap holes. (Suggest you find a sub. Sub list will be posted on bulletin board.)

Weather Event

   players already finished with their rounds - rounds entered and counted

   players who have completed part of their round - finish their round within the next seven days starting on hole following last completed hole

   players who have not started their rounds - play their rounds within the next seven days

   hole prizes will not be given out for the affected date but will be doubled on the next event

   USGA rules apply and players improperly completing a scorecard will be disqualified for the event

Schedule Conflict

Tuesday League players may complete their weekly round on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday when they cannot make their regular Tuesday outing due to travel or other conflicting business, medical or family events.  Other than for declared weather event, all league play will be completed by the scheduled date.

Entry Fee

$50 per individual payable 1st day of play.  Fee includes league tournaments, hole prizes, season end awards and two mixed league scrambles.  Fee does not include September Challenge whose entry fee is $10 per player, $20 per team).  All league players eligible for hole prizes but only during scheduled day of play.

New league players

must submit five or more 9-hole scores to get a handicap before the season starts (scorecards from previous season okay). For those players submitting fewer than five scores, a score of 35 for up to five rounds may be placed in the handicap calculator.
