Team match play championship takes place tonight. Dave Wininger and Dan Steiner go up against Mike Kidwell and Joe Allen. Dave and Dan were out last night for a practice round: Dave shot a 32 with two eagles and a couple of birdies. The two of them get one stroke in their play tonight; so, for all intents and purposes, it's a head to head match up. Should be a good one.
Mike and Joe will do their best to win that match and also try to stay on top of the team standings where Mike's son, Trenton, and his partner, Chris Bledsoe, will do all they can to take it away from them. They sit in second as the day starts, just 28 points back. And what about Joe Allen giving chase to Bric Parker over in the Individual competition where just 27 points separate the two of them. And then there are several teams and individuals within striking didtance of the top spot. Could be talking about a whole different set of guys after today's play. Come on down and do a little striking and putting and, hopefully, some strutting, guys.
p.s. Looks like there's a good chance we'll get some rain today. Good thing we have lots of daylight. But that might make the fairways a little slower, the greens a bit softer. Use more club if necessary. Tip for the day: get the ball to the hole (very easy to leave them short in pressure situations).
