-Mahan stops McIlroy from ascending to #1 with match play victory down at Dove Mountain. How about Mahan for #1? I like the idea. And what's all this talk about McIlroy ascending to #1 being inevitable? Got to admit he did look impressive when he was on, and that was most of the time. A good player but inevitable? Like his chances but lets wait a tournament or two before we slip the crown onto his head.
-Michelle Wie did make some news down in Singapore. Yahoo picked up her apology for her display of frustration on the 17th hole during her fourth round. After a wayward drive, she slammed her club to the ground (omg).
-Good to see the Hoosiers win one away from home. They beat Minnesota, 69-50.
-A fair number of golfers came out and did a little playing under the sun and wind yesterday. Along with the six of us doing the 6-6-6 thingee (Dave, Doug, Short, Nick. and Travis along with me), there were the Frank and Susan Fee group which included Kevin Byron, James Hager and Tyler Booker, a Don Carrico threesome, and several individuals. In the 6-6-6 game, Dave and I won the scramble while the alternate shot and best ball were tied when the leading team - Nick and Travis in the alt. shot and Dave and me in the best ball, couldn't get up and down for par on the final holes to seal the deal. Frustrating.
-More good golf weather today. Got good golf weather tomorrow as well - maybe good enough for a 4 o'clock scramble.
-Time for breakfast with Diane. Then the golf course.

"I absolutely apologise for that," she said after finishing her round. After finishing +22 for the 72 holes, and 32 strokes behind the winner and just one place from dead last in the tournament, would say she had a little bit to be frustrated about. Better next time, right, Michelle?
"It's unacceptable behaviour. Sometimes it's just really frustrating, and I was at that point where everything kind of boiled up."
