Senior League results are posted. Mike Anderson and Al Kavanaugh completely dominated the daggerless team of Jack Lents and Jim Bateman, 12-2, to win the Gold Flight in the playoffs. In the Black Flight, Jack Butcher and Rex Hudson beat the stand in team of Jack Nickless and Morris Cornelius, 11-3, to win in that flight. The excellent play of Al Kavanaugh and Mike Anderson allowed them to slip into first place in the Team standings to win by half a point over the Mike Bird/Richard Swayze team who were trashed by Diane Bird and Wilma Bateman, 11.5 to 2.5. Al, with a sterling round of 36 also vaulted over Mike Bird in the Individual standings to claim the season trophy in that competition. More comments and photos later. Now on to the Individual Flighted Tournament though we will pair the two flight winners next week so one of them can go home witht the bragging rights. A big congrats to the winners!

The Wrap: Low scores for the regular season finale were turned in by Bob Norris with a nifty low net of 26. Clyde Wake and Dave Strange were tied for second with 30's. Team low net was 58 by Bob Norris and Leroy Streepy. Low gross scorer was Al Kavanaugh at 36 while his partner Mike Anderson got second with a 38. Hole prizes were claimed by Dave Brown and Ray Shaw on the long putts and by Dave Brown and Jack Nickless on the close shots to the pins. Only two birdies on the day, those found by Dave Brown on #6 and Wayne Pearl on #9. The average gross score for the group dropped a bunch: from 46.97 to 45.59. An amazing 24 of the 29 golfers shot net par or better on the day.
