Senior League Starts

The Seniors started their 2009 league on Thursday, the 16th. Two teams share the lead after the day's play: Ray Shaw and Dave Brown joined Vic Wallace and John Walker at the top by snaring 12 points against their opponents. In Individual competition, new league member Tony Wease fired the low net round of the day at 31 and finds himself at the top of the standings. Dave Brown shot a net 33 while Jack Lents and John Walker shot net 35's to complete the list of players to shoot rounds of net par or better in conditions that were sunny but very soggy from the rains of the past few days. Sharpshooters for the day included Mike Bird, Jack Nickless, Jack Lents and Kenny Hudson.

Tuesday Men's League

The Tuesday Men's League commenced their league play on Tuesday, the 14th, under conditions that were blustery and cold. Because of those conditions, the initial event was declared a 'weather event' which gave the players the option to play anytime during the week. As of this writing, 62 of the 68 players have completed their rounds with Bric Parker and Chad Wade firing net 29's to lead the way. Of those playing, ten others besides Bric and Chad managed rounds of net par or better. Complete results and standings will be posted at the course website, www.golflakeview.com, when players have completed their first round.
