Tuesday Men and some bees

Virgil Harper and Gary LaMar in one of those places you don't want to be looking for your ball. They and Gary's brother, Terry, were among the early league golfers.

Father and son, John and Josh Butcher, finishing their rounds. John's all smiles but Josh had the better score though one that could have been better - a double bogey on the first hole, a couple of missed short putts - things golfers would just as soon leave on the table back at the clubhouse.

Bric Parker, Junior Byron, Curt Johnson and Kevin Byron returning to the clubhouse area after their rounds. A drive by a 7th grader, Walter Hendrickson's boy, had them turning their heads and smiling. Junior and Kevin's net scores of 34 and 30 gave them the team low net of the day at a 64, also something worth a smile or two.

And some wee winged friends decided to stop in for a visit yesterday just after noon. That's when these bees were swarming; the getting all together and hanging around came after six in the evening. Be wary: they are at the corner there just before #6 green just off the cart path in a young honey locust tree.
