-Girls basketball sectional tonight at Barr Reeve. Barr Reeve (16-4) vs Shoals (6-13) at 6pm; Loogootee (11-9) vs Vincennes Rivet (21-0) at 7:30. Washington Catholic (4-16) and North Daviess (4-16) play the winners of tonight's games on Friday. The Rivet girls won 19 games by 10 or more points with the Barr Reeve game the closest, a one point win with Barr Reeve unable to put back a couple of last second shots. Prediction: Barr Reeve and Vincennes Rivet cruise to the sectional final with the Vikings again falling to Rivet in another barn burner on Saturday night. Remember last year's barn burner? That sharp shooting guard for Rivet (her name escapes me) had to sink a last second three pointer to send it into overtime; they then went on to win and go all the way to state before again losing the final. Prediction: This year they take care of business and bring the championship down to southern Indiana.
