Bits and Pieces

-Michelle Wie has a great Saturday, still six back of leader Yani Tseng, who is now poised to win her fifth title of the year worldwide.  Is that impressive?  Yes.  How about a super day for the Wie Lass and just a bit of faltering by the leaders?  One can hope...

-Lefty had himself quite a day down in Houston yesterday,  firing a record tying 63 and vaulting into a tie for the lead with Scott Verplank at the Shell Houston Open.  His best round in two years.  Can he have another good day on the links and walk away with a win a week before the Masters?  Probably not - eleven players are within four strokes of each other.  Should be a shootout down there today.

Meanwhile, at another venue in the Houston neighborhood:

-The Men's Big Dance:  It's a dog show Monday for the title: Bulldogs vs Huskies.  Butler takes care of VCU and UConn nips KY last night in the semifinals.  Two super games.  UConn's win leaves me on top of the Romper Stomper pick-em group.  I did get the UConn-Indiana school right for the championship; just had the wrong school (Notre Dame) taking on the Huskies.  Go Butler!

-Going to the golf course where we are going to have windy and warm today.
