During the nine hole scramble out at Lakeview Saturday morning, Travis Brett commented that he had never been on a winning team on either the Saturday or Tuesday scrambles. That quickly changed as he, Mike Bird, Noah Callahan and Curt Johnson fired a four under 31 to tie Dave Wininger, Wayne Souerdike, Tracy Rayhill and Kevin Byron in this week's version of the Saturday Morning Scramble. Doug Denson pulled the card that broke the tie and also the 'Brett' curse. The winning foursome had fairly easy birdies at the 'birdie' holes, two, four and six, and Travis Brett stuck one to four feet at #7 where Curt Johnson rolled in the the putt for the fourth birdie. Two other teams came up one stroke shy of getting into the card draw: Doug Denson, Larry Hembree and Lee Wininger joined Nick Wininger, Stan Graber and Joe Allen in shooting three under 32's.
