Tuesday Men - Come on Down

July is Team Tournament month for the Leaguers at Lakeview. For the Tuesday Men, 34 teams will be competing for the next round with 16 (and ties) advancing. Today's earned points will be the determining factor on whether a team advances or not. And those points are claimed by the team's net score. Remember - two points for every team you beat, one point for every team you tie. Good luck!

Meanwhile, the regular season continues and the shootout for the top spot in both competitions remains topsy-turvy. Curt Johnson and Bric Parker have it this week in Team but several teams, including Doug Denson and Buck Holland along with Mike Kidwell and Joe Allen, who have each been there recently, hanging onto their pants legs. And several more teams could end up on top after today's play. In Individual competition, Buck Holland got to the top this past week but has a pack of golfers nipping at his heels as well. Derek Gilbertson, Mike Breeden, Bric Parker (back from vacation), Jeremy Wildman and Jim Murphy are all in position and more than willing to remove him from first place.

Golfing conditions are great. The fairways are on the hard side and the balls will run. Greens remain receptive. Lots of birdies and pars, maybe a few eagles, out there just waiting to be picked up. (Btw, take home a few of those geese for us as well...) Come on down, guys, and definitely bring your A game. Don't expect any of you want to be among the 18 teams sitting down and watching others duke it out for the Team Tournament trophy. Note: Last year's two week Team Tournament had co-champions: Alan Burch and TJ McAtee along with Terry Butcher and Joe Doyle.
