Tuesday Men - Come on Down

Four teams left in the July Team Tournament. Who advances? Dave Wininger and Dan Steiner (team h'cap 10) take on Trenton Kidwell and Chris Bledsoe (team h'cap 5) while Mark Sherer and Josh Huff (team h'cap 9) go up against Mike Kidwell and Joe Allen (team h'cap 9). Dave and Trenton joined the zero handicappers with their low scores last week; Mark Sherer is getting close with a one and Mike Kidwell currently with a two. Would expect Joe Allen would love a repeat of last week's 36. Should be fun for the eight of them. Meanwhile, the struggle to stay at the top of the standings continues. Bric Parker got back the top position in the Individual standings and is fighting off Buck Holland, Gary Burris and Joe Allen (and about ten others close enough to realize they indeed can win this thing). In the team competition, didn't Curt Johnson and Bric Parker have the top spot not too long ago? Like maybe two weeks ago? They have tumbled all the way down to ninth in a race that is even more topsy-turvy than the one among the individuals. What fun. The rains of the past week end have made the grass grow a bit taller, the fairways and greens a bit softer. And I've heard from guys who can't make a putt for nothing and those who can't seem to miss. So, you take it from there, come on down, give it your best shot, get a bounce here or there, and see what happens. Who knows, might even be a hole-in-one this week (Keith Parsons came within an inch or two at #7 last week).
