Tuesday Men - Come on Down

Tournament action starts today: 1st nine holes of the Terry Butcher/Jeff Doyle* Team Handicapped Tournament.  Your target is to have the most team points over the next four weeks (events).  The tournament is changed from last year only in length and emphasis.  (The name: tournament is named after previous year's winner.)

Other notes:

-Grounds are wet from all the rain.  Expect soft greens and fairways that won't give much roll (of course, you can always go after the cart path and get some distance there - hard on balls, though).

-Even with the lack of roll, expect the group average score to go down; afterall, it is two weeks into the season and we've had the opportunity to knock all rust from our clubs and to find some kind of rhythm.  Right?  Expect more than one eagle today as well.  Number four is always available to the long knockers in the crowd.  And it seems like we get more and more of those every year.

-No zero handicappers this week though Mark Potts may play if he chooses to come home for the day in the middle of finals week.

-Corrected Walter Henrichsen' score from last week from 36 to 35.  Remember - players have a week to let me know of errors in score keeping or posting.

-Tip for the day: Use enough club, make a good swing.
