-Group average gross, 44.29, did go lower than the previous week but by a paltry third of a stroke and did not reach the opening day current low for the year of 43.25.
-Of the nineteen birds captured yesterday, five were at hole #4, three at holes 2 and 9, 2 at the first hole and one at holes 3, 6, 7 and 8. Three players came in with two: Short Jeffers, Weston Muessig, Mike Bird. Tyler Kidwell did not birdie #9 for the third week in a row.
-Phil Eyler and John Walker led in pars with six each.
-Last week there were five sevens at hole #2, this week just two. Unfortunately, yours truly was a member of the triple-bogey-club-at-two each week. (That hole owes me...)
-Newcomers Allan Harmon and Rob Rollins continue to shine with the duo leading the pack in team competition and Allan on top in the individual standings.
-Three toughest holes yesterday: one, five and three. They played 1.50, 1.36, and 1.12 strokes over par.
-Jordan Divine subbed for his dad, Jack, and managed to tie for low net with Allan Harmon (31's). Along with team member Short Jeffers net score of 33, the Jeffers/Divine team find themselves in first place in the Butcher/Doyle Team Tournament after week one. Lots of time and opportunity to catch them as the tournament runs for four weeks for the first time this year (two weeks in previous years).
