Tuesday Men - Come on Down

And yes it's gonna be a hot one. Reminder: Several players have not completed their rounds for last Tuesday's weather event and today is the last day in which it can be made up. Of note: Bric Parker continues to shine and leads the Individual standings as well as the Team standings with Curt Johnson. Mike Kidwell and Joe Allen are close enough to them to keep them hopping though. Short Jeffers slipped into the zero handicap club while James Hager slipped out (expect him to return after today's play), and Mike Kidwell is on the verge with a one handicap. Mark Potts, with all his 32's, gives the field a stroke, meaning he's below that zero handicap level and probably going deeper. Did you notice that Nick Toy and Mike Seals have become a presence in the team standings? It wasn't but a few weeks ago that Mike was asking me if they were out of it already. Nope. Lots of volitility with the number of teams playing. Still no hole-in-ones this league season. Anybody out there got the feeling that today is the day? With the fairways drying out, should see some run on the ball today. More eagles to be had? More birdies and pars? Did see an eight handicapper in the league come within a whisker of shooting a 35 Sunday evening: Mike Arvin had his ball just to the right of the ninth green needing a three to get that magical par round when he fluffed his chip and ended up with a bogey and a 36. Good shooting for Mike; maybe this afternoon. Come on down, guys, and see what you can do with that game of yours.
