Bits and Pieces

-Yany Tseng takes the plunge with her win out in Mission Hills.  Nips Suzann Petersen by a stroke and Michelle Wie by sixteen.  The Wie Lass had a terrible Sunday, being six over after ten holes after taking a triple bogey on the tenth.  Oh my.  Six of the top twelve were of Oriental descent - made the prediction that the Asians would dominate the top ten.  Wie Under Par has a profile of Yani Tseng here.

-Golf Babe of the Day, from Golf Babes: Cheyenne Woods, who got her first collegiate win yesterday.

-And, if you missed it, Anthony Kim won down in Houston, needing an extra hole to topple Vaughn Taylor, in this week's PGA event and lead up to the Masters.

-UCON and Stanford meet in the women's Big Dance finale.  Expect UCON to continue their domination in ladies' college basketball.

-Butler and Duke:  Dukies very impressive in their win on Saturday against West Virginia but the Butler Bulldogs sterling in their win over Michigan State what with key players on the bench because of physical problems or foul trouble.  Tonight?  Go Butler!

-On the local scene:  The league season starts next week with a two person handicapped scramble. Call in to get your team signed up for one or more of the Lakeview leagues - Tuesday Men, Community, and/or Thursday Match Play
