Chapman and Barber Win Thursday League Scramble

John Chapman and Richard Barber shot and even par 35 gross and a net 27.33 to take the preseason scramble out at Lakeview Golf Course on Thursday morning.  The event, the kickoff to the Thursday Match Play League's season, had ten teams of two competing for the top spot.  Tony Wease and Charlie Sheetz, the guy with the golden putter who ran in two from goodly distances over the nine holes, came in second with a net score of 28.33.  Wayne Pearl and Junior Byron had the low gross for the day at 33.  Hole prizes were claimed by Wayne Pearl and Joe Gray for close to the pin shots at holes seven and nine, and Clyde Wake for the longest putt at the eighth hole.  Complete results can be found here.
