Bits and Pieces

-Tuesday Men - Come on down!  League starts today with the 2 person scramble.

-Want to be a league sub?  Need a partner?  Let me or the clubhouse know.  Chris Hogan came in today and signed up to sub;  Noah Callahan lost his partner (Jeremy Wildman) to Little League and is looking for another one.

-Curt Johnson left a comment on yesterdays 'Bits' extolling the merits of a golf book:  Bob Rotella's Golf is a Game of Confidence.  Son Kevin recommended it to him and he is enjoying it very much.

-Speaking of golf books:  We have a partial shelf filled with them out at the golf course.  You are welcome to take a gander and borrow one or more for a week or two.

-Michael Fitzpatrick adds his two cents on the importance to golf of last week's Masters at the Bleacher's Report. A little heavy on the 'good vs. evil' thingee but for sure right on about the PGA needing a great big jolt.  Probably has much more to do with TW being back inside the ropes than anything else.  Hope he's back there in two weeks.

-Golf with Lents, Butcher and Byron at 9 this morning.  Have had a deep conversation with my putter and my chippers (PW, SW, sometimes an 8 iron, sometimes an LW) on their behavior these last few weeks and my expectations for today.  We'll find out if they were paying attention directly.

-Course looks great with all the new grass and the trimming that has been done.  Fantastic job, Eric!

p.s.  Tony Wease and Charlie Sheetz are reporting that a squirrel is taking off with golf balls down by #1 green.  First the goose over at #6; now a squirrel at #1.  Next?  A mink at #9 maybe?
