RAYHILL AND POTTS TOP TEAM STANDINGS; DIVINE LEADS INDIVIDUALS


With two weeks to go in the Tuesday Men’s League, Tracy Rayhill and Greg Potts held onto the top spot in the team standings.  They shot a net 67 on their round last Tuesday, earned 38 points and have a season total of 664 points.  That puts them up by 14 points on the second place team of Curt Johnson and Tyler Walton.  Johnson and Walton posted a net 64 for the week and earned 48 points.  Low net team score for the day was posted by Dennis Brosmer and Tom Trambaugh with a sterling round of 59.  In the individual competition, Jordan Divine fired a new career low of 33, which netted out at 30 and gave him an even 100 points for his efforts.  His season total of 1320 points gives him an 81 point lead on John Drake and Dan Jones, tied for second at 1239 points.  Drake shot a net 33 and got 67 points for the week; Jones posted a net 35 and earned 41 points to stay well within striking distance of the top.
At the midway point in the league’s flighted tournament:  James Hager fired a low gross tying 33 to go along with his first week score of 31 to increase his lead in the A Flight.  His two week total of 64 is five strokes better than Alan Burch’s 69.  Burch posted an even par round of 35.  Jordan Divine’s 33 tied for the low gross of the day and gave him a two week total of 71 to lead the B Flight.  He took over from Junior Byron, who shot a 39 and has a two week total of 74.  Jon Boyd shot a 36 to tie Byron for second place.  C Flight’s Karry Stoll fired a 41 to tie Jake Divine; Jake came in with a 44 after shooting a 35 the first week.  In D Flight, Paul Hart shot a second consecutive 38 to take a commanding lead.  His total of 76 leads Bryant Trambaugh and Mark Jones by six strokes.  Kevin Byron and Lonnie Hawkins remained tied for the top spot in the E Flight after each posted scores of 46.  Last week’s co-leader, Virgil Harper, slipped to third after shooting a 47.  Tom Trambaugh enjoys a five stroke lead in F Flight.  He shot a 43 on the day and has a two week total of 92.  Tom Flynn is second with a 97.
Hole prizes were claimed by Dave Wininger, Mike Seals and Skip Ackerman with close to the pin shots.  Tom Flynn, Virgil Harper and Derek Gilbertson had long putts for their hole prizes.  The group’s average gross score of 40.26 established a new season low.  The previous season low of 41.38 was shot seven weeks ago.
