Jordan Divine and Mitch Jeffers fired a net team score of
67, earned 46 points and took over the top spot in the Tuesday League’s team
competition this past week. With one
week to go in the season, Divine and Jeffers have a season total of 695 points
to lead second place John Walker and Skip Ackerman by 37 points. Last week’s leaders, Tracy Rayhill and Greg
Potts, dropped to third place, 39 points back, after posting a dismal round of
net 80 and earning only two points for their efforts. Tom Walker and Mike Bird sit in 4th
place at 658 points and remain in contention for the championship.
In the individual competition, Jordan Divine remains at the
top after posting a net 35 on a round of 38 and earning 60 points. His only remaining competition for the top
spot is Karry Stoll. Stoll picked up 92
points with a net round of 32 on a gross 39, and is 75 points back at
1305.
In the flighted tournament:
James Hager’s lead in A Flight is five strokes after he shot an even par
35. His 27 hole total of 99 leads Dave
Wininger, who posted a 34 and took over second place with a total of 104. Jordan Divine remains on top in B Flight
after posting a 38. He leads Junior
Byron by a stroke after Byron posted a 36 on the day. Jake Divine and Karry Stoll are tied at the
top of C Flight with totals of 118 for the tournament. Both players shot 39’s this past week. Skip Ackerman’s 120 is two strokes back and
very much in contention. Paul Hart shot
a third straight 38 and has a commanding lead in D Flight with a total of
114. Curt Johnson’s 125 is currently
good for second place in the flight. In
E Flight, Kevin Byron posted a 44 in his round and opened up a three stroke
lead over Virgil Harper and Dennis Brosmer.
Byron’s total for the tournament is 135.
Tom Trambaugh in F Flight also shot a 44 and enjoys a 14 stroke lead
over Tom Flynn. His total for the three
weeks is 136.
The week’s special hole prizes at #2 (close to the barrel
shot) and #6 (long drive) were won by Mitch Jeffers and Jon Boyd. Jeffers' tee shot came to rest 12 feet from
the barrel while Boyd’s tee shot traveled about 315 yards. The regular hole prizes were picked up by
Ryan Johnson, Mitch Jeffers and Wayne Souerdike with close to the pin
shots. Mike Seals, Gary LaMar and Don
Nolan got the long putt prizes. Low
scores for the event were posted by Tom Trambaugh with a low net of 29, by Dave
Wininger with a low gross of 34, and by the team of Dennis Brosmer and Tom
Trambaugh with a low net of 63. With the much cooler and very windy weather, the average
gross score for the day jumped to 42.35, up more than two strokes from last week’s
40.26.
