Seniors Event 7 Notes and Comments

Charlie Sheetz was more like his old 2007 self and came in with the low net of the day, a 30. He was followed by several players at 31: Dale DeLong, Virgil Harper, Al Kavanaugh and Clyde Wake. Al also shared low gross for the day with Mike Anderson, each shooting a 39. Low net team score was turned in by Virgil Harper and Don Lannan, a nifty 63. Sharpshooters were Dale DeLong, Sam Potts, Al Kavanaugh and Ray Shaw. At the end of play, Richard Swayze and Mike Bird held onto the top spot in Team competition, though slowed down by Jack Butcher and Rex Hudson, with a total of 60.5 points and are followed by the Dave Strange/Clyde Wake team with 56 points. Clyde Wake jumped into the lead in the Individual competition with 251 points, with Al Kavanaugh and Richard Swayze tied for second at 227 points. Birdies for the day went to Virgil Harper on #2 and Jack Butcher on #4; most pars at six were made by Al Kavanaugh and Mike Bird.
