A birdie chip in by Greg on #8 and then two up and downs from just off the green on #9 gave the team a score of one under in the modified scramble. The team of Wayne Souerdike, Junior Byron, Curt Johnson and Delbert Stoll came in a stroke back at even par, finding the short #7 hole again being a bear of a place to make par. The team's double bogey on that hole bordering the lake and just short enough to throw one's game all out of whack, hurtled them from a possible one stroke victory to a one stroke loss.
