Sunday's K of C Scramble

Update: Eddie Green let me know who was on his team: Chris Bledsoe, Kyle Jones and Nick Toy. Knowing who was on the team, I would have to say they did themselves proud. Congrats, guys. I also learned that Sharon's last name (preferred) is Lannan.

Got some of the details of the results of this Sunday morning scramble. Eddie Green's team shot a 62 for first place; Doug Denson, playing with Susie Chanley, Dennis Brosmer and Sharon (?), came in 2nd with a 63; several teams shot 64's. Three skins went out, two to the Green team and one to TJ McAtee's team. (Maybe someone can fill in the names of the guys that Eddie played with - or send them to me and I'll update this blog...)

What I do know: Jim and Wilma Bateman and Diane and I came in at four under and had fun looking back and remembering the scramble where we posted a 55, one of those magic days where everything came up roses (several years back). A few sterling moments yesterday: Jim sticking one close on #3 and rolling in a forty foot putt on #13; Wilma liking an off the green putt on #15 and insisting on trying it before we went on to the ball on the green - of course she made it and then made the downhill sliding putt on the green to save the birdie and a lot of grief. Would have been nice to come in at 9 under yesterday but it just was not in the cards or the dice or in the throw of the chicken feet. Might have got to nine under with another eighteen holes; but then maybe not.
