Hole Prize Markers and Hole-in-Ones

Had my tee shot into three hit the prize marker and bound left away from the hole last night. Know for a fact (!) that the ball would have bounced once and then rolled into the cup for a hole-in-one if it had not hit the 'foreign obstacle' on the green. I did happen to roll in the longish, up and down and sliding to the right putt for birdie. For the sake of all golfers, let me suggest the following: make sure the path to the hole is open by placing hole prize markers an equal distance on one of the other sides of the pin. And, yes, I have been known to move prize markers in such a fashion in the past but failed to do so last night. Hope golfers following did not have their 'expectations' dashed.
