Karry: Here I come, David...
Karry Stoll after firing a best ever 36 earlier this evening. His previous best was a 40 and he had a ten foot putt for a par on #9 that drifted right to keep him from getting what would have been a very surprising par round. Karry, Noah Callahan and I went out in a pick up game where the stakes were a tee a hole early this evening. To be fair, Noah, hottest golfer at Lakeview, and I each played scratch and gave Karry a stroke a hole. Boy, was that a mistake. Karry went par, birdie, par, birdie to start his nine holes. Not bad for a 12 handicapper. He then went bogey, double bogey, par, birdie to go into the last hole dead even and just needing a par three to get his first ever par round. Guess it wasn't meant to be as his drive came up short though his chip gave him a good shot at par, just a little ten footer. Needless to say, Karry won the majority of the tees, winning six of the nine holes. I got the remaining three and shot a 34. Noah had to settle for passing out a bushel of tees though he shot a very respectable 39. But the night belonged to Karry who, in the end, wanted Dave Wininger, his brother-in-law, to watch out cause he was coming down the fairway and had his sights on him. Expect Dave will have his eyes wide open.
