Tuesday Men’s League

The Tuesday Men’s League regular season has just one week left and the races remain heated with still no clear leader in either the team or the individual competition. Last week’s leaders, Tracy Rayhill and Greg Potts, stumbled a bit, posted a net 74 on their round, and garnered just six points. Terry Padgett and Gary Burris took advantage of the chance to advance, fired a net 70 with a gain of 30 points and found themselves in first place just two points ahead of Joe Allen and Mike Kidwell, and three points in front of last week’s leaders. In individual competition, Mike Breeden came in early because of the opening of dove season, fired a 38 gross and a net 33 which got him 76 points on the day to help him slip by Tracy Rayhill by two points. Bric Parker and Greg Potts both made up ground on the day and are just twenty-one points behind the leader. Low scores for the day went to Charlie Sheetz with a phenomenal net 23; Phil Eyler and Derek Gilbertson each fired 34’s for the low gross; and Charlie Sheetz and partner Tony Wease had the low net team round with a 60. Sharpshooters were Phil Eyler, Charlie Sheetz and Mike Arvin with close to the pin shots, and John Drake, Tracy Rayhill and Kevin Byron with long putts. In the Individual Flighted Tournament, first round leaders include Phil Eyler and Derek Gilbertson in the A+ Flight with their 34’s, and Mike Seals in the A Flight with a 36. Chris Bledsoe shot a 36 to lead the B+ Flight, while Bryant Trambaugh fired a 38 to lead in the B Flight. Nick Toy and Jack Nickless are tied at the top in the C Flight with 40’s. In the D Flight, Mark Jones has a one stroke advantage over Trey Kidwell after posting a nifty 40. The tournament concludes along with the regular season on Tuesday, the 8th of September.
