Senior League Tournament Results

The details on the Senior Flighted Tournament are posted here. Of note: Patty Bowling's 41 which included two birds and a hole prize and the championship of E flight with a final score of 88. Ken Hudson also had himself quite a round, firing a 38, a super recovery from a first nine hole score of 50. He ending up making one birdie and shares the championship of C Flight with brother Rex and Dave Brown. The trio ended up with 18 hole rounds of 88. Jack Lents bogeyed early in his battle with Jack Butcher for supremacy in the B Flight, and then watched as his opponent found the same trouble with the closing three holes. Each of them had to make testy five foot putts at the end to share the championship with final scores of 77. Morris Cornelius apparently had an easy time in D Flight, coming in with a second straight 44 and winning the flight by four strokes. And in the A Flight, Mike Bird said on the first tee box that a par round would win it, then nailed his approach shot at #1 to within a foot of the pin for a kick in birdie. Over the next seven holes, he picked up a couple of bogeys but then, after getting one of them at #8, rolled in a twenty foot putt from off the green at #9 for a finishing birdie, a round 35, and the top spot in his flight with an 18 hole round of 71. Congrats to all the winners - it was a fun day which ended up with a pitch in lunch with Eric doing all the prep work and the grilling. Of course, the participants brought in a bunch of yummy sides.
