Bits and Pieces for a Friday Morning

-The Big Dance: Best opening day ever?  It sure was a day of upsets and Notre Dame started the whole shebang off by getting booted by Old Dominion.  Jeesh.  I'm in the 21292nd place at the NY Times and 4th out of five in son Marty's group - the leader of that group, Tammy Heath, stand 14th overall in the larger group - that's impressive.  Wonder how many are in the larger group?  Anybody know?

-Tracy Rayhill brought dog Manilla out to join him, Jeff Brookshire and Bric Parker for a round of golf yesterday afternoon.  Hope the geese took note and decide to stay away.  More dog visits wanted, especially at this time of year when the geese are laying eggs in the neighborhood.  Might have to break down and get a dog.

-Picked Tiger Woods to finish in the top ten at the Masters in a poll over at about.com.  He might win it all - I keep seeing the 2008 US Open where he willed his win.

-Looks like a more than lovely day tomorrow.  Let's scramble at ten.

-Tip for the day: Get out and golf - get those swings in.  Gives you a chance to check out your timing belt and find that ever elusive rhythm.  And, besides, it's fun, especially if you can pick up a quarter or two from your friends.
