Bits and Pieces

-Michelle Wie in the running at La Costa as the ladies enter the weekend at the KIA Classic (leaderboard here).  She's tied for 3rd at 5 under, two strokes behind leader Hee Kyung Seo (profiled at Wie Under Par).

-Davis Love III still tied for the lead at Bay Hill.  Ernie Els also shares first.  Is Els making a move that people have been expecting for some time now?  He's playing well - maybe he's the one who is going to challenge TW and not Phil Mickelson.

-The Big Dance: I dropped to 13044th place after last night's action.  Still got Duke and Kentucky in the game as well as West Virginia and Kansas State.  But I'm rooting for Butler, of course.

-The Ladies Big Dance: Notre Dame plays Oklahoma tomorrow evening while the Iowa State women get to go up against the UCON juggernaut.   UCON advanced by 'nipping' Temple, 90-36.

-Watched a very good high school girls' basketball movie yesterday: The Heart of the Game.  Starts out being a documentary about a very good coach, Bill Resler, but becomes the story of one of his star players - Darnellia Russell.  If you're a basketball fan, get it and watch it.

-Did I say Go, Barr Reeve yet today?  Up against a pretty good team from Bowman Academy this afternoon for the state title.

-Lakeview scramble at 10 this morning.  Plan on sticking around for nine holes of skins and flags after the scramble.
