Bits and Pieces

-The scramble between the basketball games was won by the team of JD Simmons, Doug Denson and Dave Wininger.  JD rolled in a putt of some 18 feet from just off the green on hole #1 for a birdie.  That was on the first extra hole and beat back the efforts of the Short Jeffers/Stan Graber/Karry Stoll team and the Mike Seals/Mike Bird/Lee Wininger team.  The three teams finished at three under after nine holes.  Pretty low scoring for the caliber of the teams - golfers thinking about basketball?  Wouldn't be the first time.

-Tiger Woods going out at 2 today with Webb Simpson just ahead of Rory McIlroy and Johnson Wagner, and just behind Luke Donald and Charl Schwartzel.  The last twosome, the leader by three, Bubba Watson, and Keegan Bradley, tee off at 2:40.  Wind at 14mph today - don't know if that will hold down the scores.  Expect Bubba to finish the job though it would be nice if he let ten or twelve other golfers into the fray.  Make for a much more interesting afternoon of golf on the television.

-Should be a pretty good day for golf around these parts.
