Dick Lemmon got his first hole-in-one yesterday on #7 at Lakeview. Playing with Jack Butcher and Ken Hudson, he hit the 100 yard shot using a Hippo pitching wedge, lost it on the way to the green, then saw it as it rolled into the cup. Telling his playing partners that it went in the cup, they both said oh-no-don't-think-so only to be pleasantly surprised to find the ball precisely where Dick said it was. The guy who just spent a mini fortune taking ten hours of lessons down at Doral now has something to show for his efforts. Congrats, Dick, on one of golf's sterling moments.
