-Corrected the Tuesday Scramble blog here - Joe Doyle's putt was on hole #1 (not #6). Found that out in talking with George Templin this afternoon; he also let me know that his eagle 'chip' was from about 70 yards out. Guess that would make it a pitch, wouldn't it? The other three three man teams in the Tuesday Afternoon Scramble, each coming in at five under: Dave Wininger, Greg Potts and Joe Allen; Doug Denson, Noah Callahan and Steve Qualkenbush; Mike Bird, Travis Brett and Ryan Johnson. Of note: Ryan's short game was better than his long game, at least Tuesday afternoon; he and his Scottie Cameron putter were working very well together.
-For Tracy and Curt: There's about a two and a half hour difference between the sunset on June 21st and December 21st. So Tracy's remembering that we lost a minute of daylight each day once we got to the Summer Solstice is right on. Of course, we get it back at about the same rate once we get past the Winter Solstice. This time of year seems like darkness falls more rapidly and the days get shorter in more of a hurry.
-Down in Alabama, Cristi Kerr leads the Navistar by a single stroke at seven under par. The youngster, Alexis Thompson, is at six under and is three under par through seven holes today. Michelle Wie is not playing in this tournament (dang...).
-It's lovely out at the golf course. Already been out for a morning walk - these same four deer were racing across the fairways from somewhere in #8 (or maybe even #7) back to the woods at #5 - expect they spotted me walking on top of the dam by #9 tee box.
-Tomorrow's scramble will start at 9 in the morning. Nine holes and all are welcome.
