Bits and Pieces

-Thursday Morning Scramble will start at 10am tomorrow.  Looks like you're going to need a jacket with a high of only 58 for the day.

-Tiger's long stay at the top of the world rankings to end this week.  Lee Westwood for sure passes him, and Martin Kaymer has the opportunity to end up on top with a win or a 2nd place finish at the Andalucia Masters in Valderama this week.  So, how long will it take for TW to regain the #1 position?  Will he ever get back on top?  Can't imagine him not making it back to the top with his complete dominance of men's golf for the last decade.  My guess - he's back on top within six months.

-The Ladies are in South Korea this weekend for another 54 hole tournament (why 54 holes?).  They play at Incheon, the location of the Battle of Inchon way back in 1950 (I don't remember it well though a little over ten years later I did participate in a training mission as a LTJG on board the USS Washtenaw County (LST1166).  The area was still recovering from the Korean War and, as you can imagine, has changed rather dramatically since then.)  Michelle Wie will be playing and, hopefully, do a lot better than how she did down in Malaysia last week.  Cristie Kerr , the new #1 ladies golfer in  the world, will also be playing.  Of note:  From Golf Girls - the temperature difference over the two weeks is a little dramatic: they go from the 90+ temperatures in Malaysia to the 40+ temps along the coast in South Korea.  Brrr...  Of note 2:  The Wie Lass will be going out with Cristie Kerr and Jiyai Shin.  Pretty good threesome there.

-Time for breakfast here at the Bird House.
