Stan Graber and Larry Hembree Win Saturday Scramble

Stan Graber and Larry Hembree used four excellent approach shots and three excellent putts to card a three under round of 32 and win the Saturday Morning Scramble.  The twosome, playing in cool conditions, started with a birdie at #1 when Stan Graber dropped his approach shot to three feet and an easy putt for a birdie.  On four, Larry Hembree's fairway wood stopped just in front of the green, giving the team an easy up and down.  On #5, after an errant tee shot and a chip that didn't make the green and a second chip that stopped ten feet short of the hole, Larry Hembree rolled in the par saving putt.  On #6, Hembree again had his fairway wood working, getting his ball on the collar of the green for an easy two putt for birdie.  At #7, Larry Hembree again rolled in a ten foot par saving putt.  Graber and Hembree each had approach shots at #8 to about seven feet with Stan Graber this time rolling in the birdie putt.  The two bogeyed #9, giving them a final score of 32, but by then it was too late for the competition.  Doug Denson and Lee Wininger fired an even par 35 while Mike Bird and Joe Allen shot a 36.
