Wininger, Allen, Doyle and Pedro Win Saturday Scramble

Dave Wininger, Joe Allen, Joe Doyle and Jerry Pedro stumbled home with a nine hole round of four under this past Saturday at Lakeview.  That was good enough to tie Mike Bird, Greg Potts and Jack Nickless and force a tiebreaker, a card draw, which they won.  A third team, Wayne Souerdike, Larry Hembree and Kevin Byron, finished at two under par.  Of note: Greg Potts ran in a thirty foot putt on #8, and then a twelve footer at #1, to get his team to the four under level and into the card draw for the prize.

Souerdike and Wallace Win Thursday Morning Scramble

Wayne Souerdike and Vic Wallace shot a net 29.67 (gross 36) to nip Mike Bird and Pam Byron by a stroke (30.67 and 36) in the Thursday Morning Scramble at Lakeview.  Wayne's approach from 80 yards at #8 to three feet and the following putt for birdie turned out to be the winning shot.  Ken Hudson, playing with Junior Byron, pitched one in from 100 yards out for an eagle on the same hole.  He and Junior finished in third with a net 31.00 (gross 34).  Dave Brown and Dick Lemmon dragged in the caboose, carding a net 33.33 on a gross of 39.

Templin and Doyle Making the Difference in the Tuesday Afternoon Scramble

George Templin hit a 70 yard pitch shot for eagle at #5 and Joe Doyle rolled in a 20' putt on #1 for birdie as the two seniors paired up with Nick Wininger and Derek Gilbertson to win the Tuesday Afternoon Scramble at Lakeview.  The foursome finished their nine holes at seven under with the Templin and Doyle shots making the difference as they won by two over three other teams competing for the prize.  The three teams coming in at five under: Dave Wininger, Greg Potts and Joe Allen; Doug Denson, Noah Callahan and Steve Qualkenbush; and Mike Bird, Travis Brett and Ryan Johnson.
