September Challenge Update

Yesterday morning's play included a brilliant round by Patty Bowling and Pam Byron, a fourteen under super effort that included three net aces - at holes #2, #3 and #9.   Patty shot a gross 44 with a 20 handicap that included a birdie at #2.  Pam shot a gross 48 with a 13 handicap and she found a birdie at #9.  The two of them played exceptionally well and, more importantly, helped each other out when the going got a bit shaky for either one of them.  The outstanding round jumped them to a tie for 5th as things stand now.  Dick Barber and John Chapman also shot well yesterday, firing a net 28 that included Dick's net ace at #9; that moved them to third place in the standings.  Six teams have yet to complete their Best Ball rounds.
