The Community League's July Match Tournament was won by Stan Graber and Ryan Graber last Thursday night as they bested the team of Larry Wininger and Mike Bird, 2 and 1. The Grabers jumped to a three up lead through three holes before letting their opposition on the scoreboard and closed them out with a couple of pars on the eighth hole.
In regular season action, Tim Sanders had the best net round of the week, shooting a net 27 on a gross of 44. He and DJ Harder, subbing for Chris Jones, also posted the low net score for a team with a sterling 59. Three golfers tied for the low gross score: Adrian Graber, Noah Miller and Mike Bird each posted even par rounds of 35. Emanuel Wagler and Adrian Graber regained the top position in the team standings, posting a net 65 and earning 22 points on the week. That pushed them ahead of last week's leaders, Noah Callahan and Jeremy Wildman, who shot a net 73 and earned only 4 points. The leaders have 142 points for the season and lead by 17 points. Noah Callahan retained his top spot in the individual competition with a net 34 for the week that earned him 25 points. At 290 points for the season, he is up 24 on second place Adrian Graber and 32 on Jeremy Graber in third place. The average gross score for the group this week was 41.31, down 1.57 strokes from last week and the new low for the season. The league starts its final four weeks of the season this week with the 36 hole Individual Flighted Tournament.
