The Thursday League's final tournament of the year, the individual flighted torunament, got underway yesterday with each of the #1 seeds failing to hold on to the top position.  Number two seed Mike Bird's even par round of 35 took the lead in A Flight by one stroke over Junior Byron and by three strokes over the #1 seed Al Kavanaugh.  In B Flight, the #3 seed, Terry LaMar, posted a 36, besting the #7th seeded Frank Fee by a stroke.  The flight's #1 seed, Leroy Allbright, did not play.  In C Flight, #5 seed Susan Fee's three over round of 39 puts her one up on #4 seed Mike McLaughlin and #2 seed Tony Wease and three up on #1 seed Dave Brown.  D Flight's #3 seed, Denny Wagoner, posted a 45 while #1 seed, Rex Hudson, came in with a 46.  In E Flight, #7 seed Morris Cornelius shot a 47 and is two strokes up on #1 seed Vic Wallace and #2 seed Dick Barber.

In regular season action, Mike McLaughlin's net 33 got him 41 points on the day and boosted him into first place in the individual standings.  His 629 points gives him a two point lead over Dick Lemmon who netted 34 and received 30 points for his efforts.   Jack Lents also had a net 34 and is in third place just three points from the top.  Low scores were posted by Frank Fee with a net 30 and by Mike Bird with a gross 35.  Hole prizes were claimed by Morris Cornelius and Dick Lemmon with close to the pin shots, and by Susan Fee with the longest putt at #8.  The group's average gross score for the week was 44.17, down almost a stroke from last week's 45.
