Another special hole prize today: Closest to the pin (on or off the green) at #2 - 1st shot. Have moved the tee blocks to the front part of the box and Eric is setting the pin on the front side of the green so don't expect it to be much more than a 225 yard shot to the cup. Of course, with the 'August' fairways, a 150 yard runner might be perfect. Does require an entry fee and the winner does take the pot.
New guys at the top of the team standings: Dan Jones and Lonnie Hawkins. Eight other teams are within 60 points of the top so could conceivably be on top at the day's end. Nice to have things tightening up as we enter the last several weeks of the season, right? Right. Only five players are close enough to the guy at the top of the individual standings - Dan Jones - to dream about being up there after today's play: John Drake, Jordan Divine, Skip Ackerman, Noah Callahan and Karry Stoll. But, with 100+ points available each event, that too can change in a hurry. Best come out and give it your best shot.
