Okay - the weather has changed but we still start early today - we're going to make sure of that change. (Btw, think you might need a sweater this morning?!)
Today is the last 'auto' generated schedule date. Next week we head to the team playoffs. How it works:
Position after today's event determines next week's lineup:
Week 1 of playoffs:
Teams 1 through 8 go up against each other: 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5.
Teams 9 through 16 go up against each other: 9 vs 16, 10 vs 15, 11 vs 14, 12 vs 13.
Week 2 of Playoffs:
Again, position in the standings after week 1 of the playoffs determines the schedule for week 2 with:
Teams 1 through 8: 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8.
Teams 9 through 16: 9 vs 10, 11 vs 12, 13 vs 14, 15 vs 16.
Tiebreaker if teams are in a dead heat in the standings: low net score for the current event and then back a week if necessary.
But first things first and that means playing today so we can get to next week. Al Kavanaugh and Denny Wagoner (subbing for Mike Anderson) take on the #1 team of Pam Byron and Patty Bowling. Dane Mosby and Ed Summers, with the July Tournament trophy in their pockets, go up against Jack Butcher and Rex Hudson, and Team 15, filled this week with Dave Strange and Mike Strawn, are playing Mike McLaughlin and Leroy Allbright. The rest of the schedule can be seen at the bottom of the page here.
So, make sure your clubs are in your vehicle and head on out to Lakeview with the intent of having some fun slapping a little bitty ball around with a crooked stick.
