Hey! It's super weather out there right now and doesn't look all that bad for the rest of the day today. So, enjoy but stay hydrated as well. New guy on top of the individual standings - Danny Jones. Same old guys on top of the team standings - John Walker and Skip Ackerman. Nice run by those guys who have spent years in the lower echelons because of summer travels. Expect they are getting kinda giddy from being up there on top for so long. Lots of guys willing to give them a break.
Special hole prize today at #1 - 2nd shot closest to the pin. Does require an extra fee with the winner taking the pot. Feeling lucky? good? How about lucky and good. (Next week: long and accurate shot on #2 with the tee blocks moved way up.)
The course is still pretty dry - our rainfall yesterday was a third of an inch. Fairways are running fast, greens are still soft with all the watering. Should be good scoring conditions - one would think that there would be a bunch of eagles unlike last week where there were only two and both by the same guy - James Hager.
Tip for the day: Hit them down the fairway; pop them on the green; make a putt now and then. (Darren Clark several years back.)
