Jim and Wilma Bateman shot even par on the final three holes to catch and beat Susan and Frank Fee in the final team event in the Thursday League at Lakeview this morning. Jim Bateman birdied both #8 and #9 to put the cap on a season of team play that saw the two couples in the league duke it out for the top spot for most of the season. The Batemans came in two and a half points behind the Fees and were the sentimental favorites starting play. Susan and Frank, the Young Turks in the League, gave it a good run but in the end were done in by the brilliant play of the Batemans over the last three holes.
